Several years ago I took a trip to South Texas to hunt whitetail deer. After hunting two different ranches it became much more than a "hunting trip". My wife and I were intrigued by the differences between South Texas and Northeastern Ohio. These differences included feeding programs, herd ratios, stand design and comfort, and most importantly whitetail deer genetics. This trip marked the beginning of Oak Ridge Whitetail Adventure.
Our work began the following spring as we cleared land, planted food plots and constructed our first permanent tree stand. Then we began to search for our first clients and soon realized that we thoroughly enjoyed guiding other hunters and especially young children. Over the next several years many young hunters experienced their "first deer" from our property and the stage was set for our final step.
We still had the question of how to control which bucks and does were reproducing on our farm. The answer came while we were visiting as Keith Warren calls it a "Nature Agripark" where whitetail deer were being raised and cared for to produce trophy bucks.
We now operate a 150 acre high fence hunting preserve where we can control everything from whitetail deer genetics, buck to doe ratios, and nutrition to hunter access. The experience that we have dreamed of for years is now a reality. You can come enjoy a guided hunt on our private property where the opportunity of seeing your dream buck has been greatly enhanced while still providing it in the safest and natural of settings.
We look forward to continuing our dream into the future and hope thru our efforts "Your dreams do become your fondest memories".
