The calendar may say August but this morning started with geese flying, temperatures in the high fifties, a flock of robins gathering to plan the journey south and when you add in the fact that high school football practice started this week you know what is coming soon!! The fall air is starting to lead our thoughts toward deer hunting in Ohio!! These late summer mornings start to get the push going to get out there and hang your stands.
We have had the longest stretch of dry weather that we have seen since mid May and it has allowed us to get a little caught up on our projects. It is that time of year to check or hang your stands for this coming deer season and also a great time of year to make that first check for new bees nest. The trail cameras can be placed as the bucks are pretty well finished with their frames and will close out with tine length and then start to shed.
We are fresh off our GON Outdoor Blast in Georgia and we experienced a great show. Thanks to everyone that stopped by our booth to talk deer hunting. It is always exciting to meet new deer hunters and learn about deer hunting in other areas.
